Richard is a third generation builder and started Abode Modern Homes in 2006 after a decade in the industry working alongside his father. He has overseen more than 100 projects to completion and maintains relationships with many of the best architects in Austin. He brings a modern aesthetic to the projects, insists on design details that make jobs unique and works with clients to achieve their ideal home. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1999.
Richard White, Sr.
Richard is a second generation builder who has been in the industry since 1974. He oversees all aspects of construction at Abode Modern Homes. He has extensive experience with foundation and landscaping and brings substantial expertise to the projects.
Richard attended Texas State University where he studied engineering.
Christopher started with Abode Homes in 2016 and has gained a wealth of experience managing and forecasting budgets for a multitude of different projects. As well as overseeing and managing vendors and staff, Christopher's duties include hiring professional contractors, implementing budget plans, writing business plans, and installing effective management information and workflow systems.
With a strong knowledge of both cash and accrual accounting systems, Christopher has been responsible for a range of budgets. He has experience in all aspects of financial forecasting, resource allocation, fund management, accounting and control.
He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he studied Accounting and Finance.
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Manager / Bookkeeper
Courtney came to Abode Modern Homes with more than five years of customer service and management experience. She undertakes administrative responsibilities at Abode Modern Homes with a knack for communication and attention to detail. Her passion for people, persistent enthusiasm, and organization in the office make her an essential part of the team.
A native Austinite, Rick Price has worked professionally in the Architectural Design field throughout Central Texas for 18 years prior to becoming a residential construction Project Manager in 2016. Rick’s history and background in Austin Architecture benefits both our clients and their Architects comfort level aware of his knowledge and appreciation to execute their designs. Rick graduated from Texas Tech University’s College of Architecture in 1998.
Manuel moved to Austin in 1997 to pursue a Master of Architecture at the University of Texas after working construction in Boston. Upon completing his studies, he worked in architectural firms for 12 years and then switched to construction management in 2014. In addition to serving as Project Manager on a number of residential projects, Manuel has also managed several commercial projects to completion, including restaurants, stores, and offices. Manuel graduated from Brown University in 1994.
Assistant Project Manager
Julia has lived in the Austin area since 1988. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas School of Architecture. Julia has experience working in large and small architecture firms. She is excited to be working directly in the field assisting with the construction process.
